Mark D. Richards
Research Metallurgist

Biography: Dr. Mark Richards is a research metallurgist at EVRAZ North America in the Long Products Division, focusing on product development and process improvement efforts for rail and rod/bar products. Mark Richards received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Colorado School of Mines in Metallurgical Engineering, where he conducted his Ph.D. research in the prestigious Advanced Steel Processing and Products Research Center. Mark was awarded the distinguished American Iron and Steel Institute Medal for 2013 for his Ph.D. research. Previous to joining EVRAZ, Mark performed research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, CO as part of a National Research Council fellowship.
