Biography: Todd is Director - Sensors & Analytics at Amsted Digital Solutions. Coincidentally, he also started his railroad career doing mechanical engineering and metallurgy research for Amsted’s Brenco bearings at the University of Nebraska, where he received his doctorate in chemical and materials engineering. In between then and now, Todd spent 21 years with Union Pacific Railroad where he led internal developments for sensor-based wayside and onboard systems targeting predictive analytics. Dr. Snyder has also spent a lot of time and passion trying steer the regulatory side of the equation with his involvement in many AAR committees, technical advisory groups, and task forces.
